Acres of parks and miles of trails offer an abundance of recreational opportunities for every Whitney Ranch resident. The 40-acre Whitney Community Park includes four lighted baseball fields, two soccer fields, and playgrounds. While the miles of trails and footpaths throughout Whitney Ranch give residents easy walkable access to the community park, the pool and gathering rooms at the Ranch House, Whitney High School, and local retail centers.

Amenities

Whitney Ranch is served by the highly regarded Rocklin Unified School District. With some of the best testing scores in the region, the school district brings quality education to the children of the Whitney Ranch community.  The on site Whitney High School opened to students in 2005 and two elementary schools are planned on site in Whitney Ranch.  Construction on the first elementary school, Sunset Ranch Elementary, is near completion and will open in August 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year.   

Hands on educational opportunities to learn more about northern California plants and birds that are native to the area are available through our alliance with the Sierra Foothills Audubon Society.  Rocklin’s nearby William Jessup University and Sierra Community College offer lifelong learning. 

The new Whitney High School

Located within Whitney Ranch boasts, among other tools, a full broadcast studio capable of broadcasting not only within the campus cable system but also in the wider community.
